I can’t believe I missed the geyser that a broken fire hydrant released near one of the new UCLA Residence Halls. I was working, so I decided not to bring my camera. Big mistake. Choosing not to go back for just five minutes to complete my work, I instead finish the task I set out on doing and came back. The jet of water was still going, but even though I rushed to get my camera and get back as soon as possible, fire teams had successfully stopped to massive flow of water. Let this be a lesson: Never forget to take a camera with you. You never know what amazing things will happen on ordinary days.
